Donepezil PDF Print

Donepezil PH&T is the generic of ARICEPT (Eisai, Pzizer)

Donepezil (also misspelled donezepil) is a centrally acting reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Its main therapeutic use is in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease where it is used to increase cortical acetylcholine. Sex, race and smoking history have no clinically significant influence on plasma concentrations of donepezil hydrochloride. Because it has a terminal elimination half life of about 70 hours, it can be taken once a day.
