Alfuzosin PH&T is the generic of XATRAL - UROXATRAL (Sanofi - Synthelabo).

Alfuzosin hydrochloride is a selective inhibitor of the alpha-1 subtype of alpha adrenergic receptors.

It is the alfa-1 antagonist with the highest functional uroselectivity, due to its selective prostatic distribution: it effectively lowers outflow resistance without producing unwanted cardiovascular side effects.
