Desmopressin is the generic of MINIRIN (Ferring).

Desmopressin acetate (DDAVP) is the synthetic analogue of antidiuretic hormone 8-arginine vasopressin (ADH), with a more potent and longer antidiuretic activity, but lower pressure effects compared with the natural hormone.
In the tablet presentation, it is the first-line pharmacotherapy agent for Primary Nocturnal Enuresis in children.

PRESENTATION
Nasal spray 10µg - Tablets 0.1 and 0.2mg

INDICATION

• In the tablet formulation, it is indicated for both the treatment of enuresis nocturna in adults, in children and adolescent, and the treatment of vasopressin-sensitive central diabetes insipidus.

• In the spray formulation, it is indicated for the treatment of vasopressin-sensitive central diabetes insipidus in adults, in children and adolescent, and for diagnostic test of the renal concentrating capacity.
